Job Summary
Prepare, serve, and clean up meals in Monticello Skilled Care and Personal Care areas while adhering to facility policies and physician-specified diet orders. Ensure food is served at proper temperatures, correct portion sizes, and in attractive, palatable quantities. Handle food safely and maintain quality service techniques for dining room and room trays. This part-time role requires standing for long periods, lifting 40 pounds, and working in high heat, humidity, and noise. Candidates must be 16 or older, speak English fluently, perform basic math, and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines. Weekend rotation is required unless hired for a pool position.
Required Qualifications
- 16 years old or older
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must have the ability to perform basic math calculations
- Must have the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet established time deadlines and the needs of the department
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Must have a genuine interest in working with the elderly, including those with disabilities and special needs
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and as part of a team
- Must be able to work a schedule that includes every other weekend
- Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for long periods
- Must be able to endure high heat, high humidity levels, and high noise levels
- Must have the ability to bend, reach and grasp
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
