Job Summary
Dietary Aide assists with meal preparation and service in an inpatient hospital setting. Responsibilities include preparing the salad bar, stocking beverages and kitchen supplies, keeping the cafeteria and dining areas clean, assisting in preparing and delivering patient meals and room supplies, operating the dish machine, assisting the cook as needed, and setting up salad and dessert bars. Maintains sanitation and safety per guidelines and uses portion-control practices. Requires basic food service sanitation knowledge and a high school diploma (preferred); crisis prevention/management training within 30 days. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Plainfield, Indiana, with benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma preferred
- Experience: Prior food service experience and basic knowledge of food service sanitation
- Additional Skill Requirements: Crisis prevention/management training within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure
