Job Summary
Conduct food preparation, production control, and inventory control while adhering to kitchen safety, sanitation, and equipment use protocols. Maintain a clean and safe work area by sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and managing trash. Assist dietary cooks with recipe adherence, therapeutic diets, modified textured foods and liquids, and general sanitation tasks. Work under the supervision of the Culinary Manager, requiring strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently in a team environment. Must be able to speak, read, and write English, work weekends and holidays with flexible hours, and walk or stand for long periods. Located in Flagstaff, AZ, this role supports Powerlink's Food and Nutrition Services within Long-Term Care and Senior Living Facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in customer service
- Minimum one (1) year of food service experience
- Must be able to speak, read and write English to communicate effectively with others
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays with flexible hours
- Background in safety and sanitation compliance
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Must be local to Flagstaff, AZ and surrounding areas
Desired Qualifications
- Current ServSafe® certification or Food Handler certification
- Experience working in long term care environment
