Job Summary
Deliver food carts, meal trays, and supplies to resident rooms and dining areas while serving meals in a courteous and professional manner. Handle food, supplies, and equipment in compliance with sanitation policies and procedures, and assist with daily and scheduled cleaning duties per facility policies. Prepare and distribute snacks as directed, maintain cleanliness of food service areas, and report discrepancies or concerns to the department supervisor. Rotate tasks as needed based on daily operational needs. Work part-time shifts including days, evenings, and weekends at Sun Harbor in Port Charlotte, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to make independent decisions when appropriate
- Strong attention to sanitation, safety, and detail
- Ability to properly care for supplies, equipment, and work areas
- Willingness to learn and incorporate new methods and best practices in food service
- Prior nursing home or long-term care experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility and reliability
