Job Summary
Sanitize kitchen, dining, and prep areas; maintain walls, floors, work surfaces, equipment, and tools per State, Federal, and accrediting agency regulations. Assist with meal service by assembling, delivering, and removing trays, specifically preparing specialty formulas and distributing children's meals according to diet orders. Maintain quality assurance logs for temperature and sanitation, manage pantry par levels, and collect soiled dishes. Communicate resident preferences during service and report hazardous conditions. Adhere to all policies and attend scheduled training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least one year foodservice experience in a health related facility
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently
- Must meet or exceed all health standards and requirements for the position as established by NYDOH and all other regulatory agencies
- Must meet the general health requirements set fourth by the policies of this Center which includes a medical and physical examination
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents, if necessary
