Job Summary
Dietary Aide maintains kitchen areas in a clean, safe, sanitary and orderly manner, assists cooking staff in meal preparation according to planned menus, serves and/or delivers food to clients and staff, and adheres to infection control procedures. The role includes washing and sanitizing cookware and utensils, stocking supplies, assisting with unloading deliveries, setting up and replenishing food, and communicating with nursing staff regarding client responses to foods; requires high school or equivalent and food safety knowledge, plus experience in institutional food service.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- One or more years’ experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions preferred
- Understands safe food handling procedures
- Ability to operate dishwasher, stoves, ovens, mixers and other related equipment
- SERV Safe Certification or similar food safety certification as required by state/facility
