Job Summary
Assist in food preparation and serving, check trays for menu and diet preferences, and deliver meals to residents. Set up serving lines with cold foods and condiments, work the central tray service line, and deliver loaded food carts to corridors. Collect soiled trays, wash dishes, sanitize equipment, and maintain kitchen and dining areas under the supervision of the Dietary Director. Stock food items, manage inventory, and report hazardous conditions as assigned. This part-time role at Eastern Healthcare Group supports resident-centered care in skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Moderate physical activity: Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet
- Standing and/or walking for more than eight (8) hours per day
- Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in hospital or long-term care facility dietary department
