Job Summary
Dietary aide duties include learning food service routines, setting up meal trays, stripping and washing dishes, assisting with serving meals, checking water temperatures and chlorine concentration of the dishwashing machine, operating the dishwasher, preparing nourishments, keeping the kitchen and surfaces clean, sweeping/mopping, and participating in ongoing training. The role requires ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes, strong cooperation with other departments, physical ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds, and obtaining/maintaining a food handlers’ certificate. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Experience in food service or kitchen environment (preferred)
