Job Summary
Prepare and portion food for residents, employees, and special events using standardized recipes and proper food safety techniques. Serve meals accurately according to dietary orders and preferences while maintaining correct food temperatures and storage conditions. Wash dishes, clean work areas, and ensure adequate supplies are available by tracking stock levels and reporting issues promptly. Operate kitchen equipment safely and assist with receiving and verifying incoming food invoices.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members
Desired Qualifications
- Tenth grade or above desirable
- Experience in food service desired
- ServSafe Food Safety Certification preferred, or other food safety certification as required in state or county of facility
