Job Summary
Serve food to residents and guests while performing dishwashing and housekeeping duties in dining areas. Learn therapeutic diets to apply knowledge during plate service, preparing, sorting, and labeling nourishments and snacks. Deliver food supplies to floors, wash dishes, and clean dining room tables, sanitizing equipment and work areas. Safeguard resident health information by complying with HIPAA regulations and report any incidents of abuse or rights violations immediately. Maintain sanitary conditions, follow infection control procedures, and interact positively with residents to promote a homelike environment.
Required Qualifications
- Physical condition allowing for normal kitchen duties including but not limited to; lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, grabbing, pushing, pulling, standing or walking an entire shift, use of arms and hands with dexterity, ability to read and understand directions.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly manner to residents and coworkers in English.
- Comfort in working in a Christian Retirement Center environment.
