Job Summary
Dietary Aide responsible for setting up meal trays, washing dishes, serving meals, and assisting in daily kitchen operations. Duties include checking and recording chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at shift start, operating the dishwasher, preparing nourishments and snacks, sweeping/mopping the kitchen, hauling trash, stocking groceries, and maintaining a clean, sanitary work environment. Requires learning food service routines, ability to work with the cook and dietary supervisor, and participating in orientation and ongoing training. PM shift hours 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM with a 4 on, 2 off rotation; full-time role with a high school diploma or equivalent and a food handlers’ certificate.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate
- Ability to read technical procedures
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Mathematical skills: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions
- Reasoning ability to solve practical problems
