Job Summary
Assist the Dietician and Cook with meal preparation, serving, and delivery while adhering to portion controls and sanitation guidelines. Set up meal services, clean work tables and storage areas, and manage dishwashing and waste disposal. Treat residents with dignity, communicate clearly with families and staff, and report any occupational exposures or hazardous materials immediately. Maintain confidentiality of resident information and follow all facility policies and emergency evacuation procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day
- Must be able to push, pull, move and or lift up to 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 15 feet
- Ability to read fine print on labels and menus
- Must be able to work beyond scheduled working hours at times
- Is subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Some experience helpful, on the job training will be provided
