Job Summary
Assist in the preparation and service of meals for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Dietary Manager. Serve food and snacks according to the planned menu and individual diet orders, ensuring proper food handling, safety techniques, and correct portioning. May wash dishes when necessary or instructed by the Dietary Manager. This role supports Mira Vista's dietary team, where patients and long-term residents rely on staff to create enjoyable meal experiences that make a tangible difference in their daily lives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D
- Must be able to speak, understand, and write in fluent English
- Reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Food handler's permit
- Experience in food prep and service within a skilled nursing or long term care facility
