Job Summary
Assist residents with food and beverage choices while ensuring options meet dietary restrictions, allergies, and sensitivities. Perform dining service set-up by preparing meals, beverages, and other food items at proper temperatures and on time. Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and dining areas by bussing tables, washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, and stocking items correctly. Follow infection control procedures, including hand washing, proper food storage, and wearing protective equipment. Maintain HACCP logs, record product usage and waste, and report hazardous conditions or defective equipment to the supervisor immediately. This role is part of a faith-based mission to help older adults live life to the fullest across multiple senior living locations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments
- Must have or be willing to receive a recognized food safety handling certification in accordance with local or county regulations
- Must have or be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County (in accordance with County health regulations)
- Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning agents and to withstand exposure to temperature and humidity changes, such as entering refrigerated storage areas and working at ovens, ranges, dish-washing machines, and steam tables
- This employee must be free from infections or diseases
Desired Qualifications
- One year of dietary aide experience preferred
