Job Summary
Assist in all food functions as directed, including setting up meal trays, serving meals, and distributing menus. Prepare meals by assisting the cook and obtain necessary food supplies for the next meal. Check diet trays before distribution and deliver carts and trays to designated areas. Ensure all food procedures follow established policies while maintaining sanitation and safety in work areas. Work with the Dietitian or Director of Food Services to implement recommended changes and maintain a good rapport with inter-department personnel. Fulltime AM shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm with a salary of $18-$19 DOE.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate.
- This position requires the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
