Job Summary
Assist in the preparation and service of meals and snacks while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas. Work closely with the nutrition team to ensure meals are prepared according to dietary requirements and help create an organized and efficient workflow. Implement and interpret department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures to ensure patients' dining needs are met in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Maintain professional working relationships with associates, vendors, and patients while exhibiting excellent customer service and a positive attitude. Provide assistance in all food service functions to ensure a clean and sanitary workspace.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Prior health-care experience
- Prior food services experience
- Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Ability to maintain professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
- Ability to exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
- Ability to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Prior health-care experience preferred
- Prior food services experience preferred
