Job Summary
Dietary Aide in a senior living community is responsible for returning dishes and utensils to the kitchen, cleaning, sanitizing, and properly storing them. Responsibilities include preparing the dish room area before meal service, transporting dishes to the kitchen, clearing, washing and sanitizing dishes, returning clean dishes to storage, assisting with kitchen breakdown and general clean-up of the dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains, and emptying the trash. The role requires responding to resident concerns professionally, maintaining a safe environment, and promoting teamwork with colleagues and other departments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
