Job Summary
Deliver food to residents and guests in an attractive and professional manner while ensuring a high-quality dining experience in a restaurant-style environment. Assist with meal tray preparation by placing condiments, silverware, and special items, and set dining areas with linens, decorations, and service plates. Serve food on trays or tables using proper etiquette, wait on tables, and create a positive atmosphere for residents and guests. Deliver tray carts and nourishment to nursing areas, perform daily cleaning and sanitation of dishes and work areas, and assist with special food functions like banquets. Treat all resident information as confidential and comply with established policies.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow oral and printed instructions
- High degree of personal hygiene and cleanliness
- Ability to do repeated pushing of tray carts, and lifting or carrying a minimum of 25 pounds throughout an eight hour shift
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the course of an eight hour shift
- Must treat residents and the public with kindness and respect in a cheerful manner
Desired Qualifications
- Food service experience preferred
- Ability to use the point of service system preferred
