Job Summary
Dietary Aide in Memorial Regional (Mechanicsville, VA) part of the hospital’s dietary team. Responsibilities include assisting patients with menu selection, delivering meals in a timely fashion, ensuring meals match orders and diet requirements, providing customer service, delivering and collecting patient menus, preparing cold/hot items and condiments, and adhering to health and safety policies. The role supports the department with team collaboration and efficient operation. Shifts include day, evening, and night; both full-time and part-time opportunities available. Must be 18+, maintain good hygiene, communicate in English, and pass background check and drug screen. Preferred: culinary experience in kitchens or healthcare settings. Vaccination against COVID-19 or approved exemption may be required by some facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform
- Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
- Background check and drug screen required
- Proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)
