Job Summary
Maintain kitchen sanitation, OSHA compliance, and storage protocols while preparing and serving meals to participants according to the ESP Serving and Portion Guide. Document refrigerator temperatures daily, test meal temperatures, review expiration dates, and ensure all equipment and utensils remain clean and functional. Store perishable and hot foods safely, manage supplies per protocol, and report unsanitary conditions to the manager. Requires one year of geriatric and food service experience, current ServSafe and allergen certifications, and ability to complete daily logs. Position offers 30 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with flexible start times.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience with a geriatric population
- Proven oral and written English communication skills
- Ability to accurately complete daily dietary log
- Current ServSafe Food Handler Certification
- Current Serv Safe-Allergen or MA-Allergen Certification or obtained withing 3 months of hire
- Monday - Friday 8:00 AM-2:30 PM
- 30 hours weekly
