Job Summary
Prepare beverages, fruits, salads, and desserts while assisting with additional food preparation. Set up dining room tables, follow resident menus for room trays, and take tableside orders to deliver food in an organized, timely, and courteous manner. Offer available options to exceed expectations, deliver nourishments to units, and manage food carts. Clean work areas, dining rooms, and equipment, wash dishes using approved procedures, and dispose of trash. Work full-time rotating weekends from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Resthaven, a faith-based organization serving older adults since 1945.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact tactfully and respectfully with individuals of varying ages, cultures, needs, abilities, and physical conditions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and team members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
