Job Summary
Dietary Aide responsible for assisting with meal service and kitchen tasks, including setting up meal trays, stripping returned trays and washing dishes, serving meals, checking chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwasher, operating the dishwasher, preparing nourishments and snacks, cleaning duties (sweeping/mopping, trash), stocking groceries, and ensuring a sanitary kitchen environment. Requires ability to learn food service routines quickly, read procedures/recipes, and obtain a food handlers’ certificate. Able to work cooperatively with staff and participate in orientation/training; physical duties include frequent standing/walking and lifting up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate
- Ability to read technical procedures
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees
- Standing and walking frequently
- Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
