Job Summary
Dietary Aide for a full-time role in a post-acute healthcare facility. Responsibilities include learning and following food service routines, setting up meal trays, washing dishes, serving meals, and assisting in kitchen operations. Duties also cover checking chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine, operating the dishwasher, preparing nourishments and snacks, sweeping/mopping, organizing groceries, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen. Participation in orientation and ongoing training for dietary staff, and cooperation with personnel across departments. Requires reading technical procedures and recipes, basic math and problem-solving skills, and the ability to stand/walk frequently with lifting up to 50 pounds. Education must include a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
