Job Summary
Conduct food preparation, production control, and inventory control while adhering to kitchen safety, sanitation, and equipment use standards. Maintain a clean and safe work area by sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and managing trash, assisting cooks as necessary. Prepare therapeutic diets and modified textured foods and liquids under Culinary Manager supervision. Work weekends and holidays with flexible hours, requiring local presence in Chesterfield, MI.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in customer service
- Minimum one (1) year of food service experience
- Must be able to speak, read and write English to communicate effectively with others
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays with flexible hours
- Background in safety and sanitation compliance
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Must be local to Chesterfield, MI and surrounding areas
Desired Qualifications
- Current ServSafe® certification or Food Handler certification
- Experience working in long term care environment
