Job Summary
Prepare, serve, and deliver meals according to prescribed dietary plans and facility standards while ensuring all food items are handled and stored safely. Clean and sanitize dining areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils to maintain a hygienic environment. Collaborate with team members to communicate resident needs and report any concerns related to food service or resident health. This role supports the nutritional and dietary needs of residents within Life Plan Communities in New Jersey, adhering strictly to infection control protocols and individual care plans.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately
- Basic knowledge of food service and infection control practices
- Demonstrated patience and ability to relate positively with residents and team members
- Experience or willingness to work in an assisted living or healthcare environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a similar food service role within healthcare or assisted living settings
- Certification in food safety or dietary aide training programs
