Job Summary
Assist in food preparation and serving, set up serving lines, and deliver meals to residents while checking trays for menu and diet preferences. Collect soiled trays and utensils, wash dishes, sanitize equipment, and maintain clean conditions in the kitchen and dining areas. Stock food items, manage inventory, and report hazardous conditions or accidents as necessary. Work moderate physical activity including lifting fifty pounds and standing for eight hours daily. High school diploma required; experience in long-term care facilities preferred. Eastern Health Group operates skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers focused on resident-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Moderate physical activity: Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet
- Standing and/or walking for more than eight (8) hours per day
- Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in hospital or long-term care facility dietary department
