Dietary Aide

Dietary Aide aids in meal preparation and serving, assists with catering events, maintains sanitary work areas, and helps ensure a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Duties include preparing food for residents, enhancing resident satisfaction with meal service, addressing concerns with guidance as needed, setting up, serving, and tearing down at catered events, and communicating courteously with residents, families, visitors and volunteers to support customer-service excellence. Ideal candidates have prior food services experience in retirement or hospitality settings, completion of secondary education or equivalent, and may hold Food Safe Level 1, Smart Serve, and First Aid certifications; the role requires the ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal English instructions, empathy for seniors, strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, and the ability to organize work under tight time constraints.
