Job Summary
Assist with meal preparation, plating, and service according to menus and dietary guidelines while serving meals and beverages to residents. Ensure proper portion sizes, correct diet textures, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas. Accurately record food and fluid intake per facility policy and observe changes in residents' conditions to report to the Charge Nurse. Deliver and collect meal trays as needed, with duties including weekend/holiday rotations. Full-time and part-time roles available with competitive wages, health benefits, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs
- Exposure to hot surfaces and cleaning chemicals
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must meet facility immunization requirements (e.g., flu shot, COVID-19 if applicable)
- Adhere to safe food handling and storage guidelines
- Must follow infection prevention, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Willingness to take part in scheduled weekend/holiday rotations
- Comfortable working with the geriatric population
- Patient and attentive to residents' needs
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
