Job Summary
Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily while creating and posting menus, ensuring all food complies with sanitation and health standards. Wash dishes, glassware, and utensils using commercial equipment, and clean work surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout the dining hall. Monitor beverage levels, check ice machines, and manage food inventory by preparing shopping lists and tracking supplies. Maintain proper cooking temperatures, store leftovers correctly, and remove trash to prevent contamination and waste.

- Ability to read and interpret written information
- Ability to write clearly and informatively
- Ability to edit work for spelling and grammar
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively
- Ability to listen and get clarification
- Ability to respond well to questions
- Ability to demonstrate group presentation skills
- Ability to participate in meetings
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Two years' experience as a cook or prep cook
- Knowledge of standard practice, procedures and equipment required in the food industry
- Knowledge of state health codes
- Ability to work with male and female, adult (18-over) substance abuse/dual diagnosed population
