Job Summary
Assist with food preparation for residents, visitors, and staff, including special events and activities. Attend and serve food during in-service or staff meetings as requested. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while maintaining sanitary conditions. Set and clear tables before and after meals. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining area. Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices. Adhere to Americare's Mission, Vision, Hometown Hospitality, and F.A.M.I.L.Y. values. Support the dietary team with additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers
- Ability to follow supervisor instructions safely and efficiently
- Commitment to maintaining resident confidentiality and professionalism
- Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable state and federal regulations
- Lift or carry up to 25 lbs.
- Push and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Reach, balance, kneel, stoop, and bend as needed
- Wear skid-resistant, supportive footwear to prevent slips and falls
- Use protective hand equipment when handling knives, sharp objects, or hot surfaces
- Utilize required PPE such as gloves, hairnets, and beard guards when handling food
- Report work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentation
- Participate in company drug testing procedures
