Job Summary
Serve residents' meals following portion control procedures and assist cooks in preparing food and obtaining supplies. Clean tables, meat blocks, refrigerators, and floors by sweeping, mopping, and carrying soiled utensils to the wash area. Wash, sanitize, and store utensils while maintaining dry, hazard-free work zones. Set up meal trays and carts as instructed and perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties per established policies. Operate an industrial dishwasher and read resident tray cards in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to read/understand resident tray card
- Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn to load and operate an industrial diswasher within one week
- Ability to follow sanitation process and maintain cleanliness standards
- Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices
- Understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating an industrial dishwasher and the sanitation process of the kitchen
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in industrial food production
- Prior experience working in a long-term care facility
