Job Summary
Dietary Aide at Allina Health provides essential hospital food service duties: assist with preparation and delivery of meals to patients, cafeteria, catering and others; follow cycle/modified recipes and ensure food safety; assemble patient trays; deliver and retrieve trays; restock during meal service; may operate a cash register; maintain sanitation and proper labeling/storage; support set-up of catered meals; handle grocery orders and waste disposal; walk throughout shift; 0.5 FTE with day/evening shifts and every-other weekend rotation; use proper cooking, cooling, and reheating techniques; adhere to temperatures checks and sanitation standards; team-focused role supporting patients, employees, and community.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
- Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED with one year of food service experience
- 0 to 2 years of experience in food service and/or sanitation standards required with high school diploma or GED
