Job Summary
Support the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, setting up dining areas, and serving nutritionally balanced meals to residents. Clear tables, sanitize dishes and utensils, and maintain cleanliness in food preparation zones while adhering to strict food safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and ensure proper rotation of food items. Collaborate with the culinary team and dining staff to coordinate efficient service, accommodate resident dietary restrictions and allergies, and address individual meal preferences. Engage with residents in a friendly, respectful manner to enhance their dining experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 25-pound lifting requirement
- Flexibility in working various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift trays or equipment as required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Basic understanding of dietary restrictions, allergies, and common nutritional guidelines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proof of influenza vaccine is required (October-March) unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or customer service roles is preferred
