Job Summary

Diet Technician assists the Registered Dietitian (RD) in implementing diet orders, conducts low-risk nutritional assessments and interviews residents/families, and documents in the EMR using PCC. Responsibilities include completing assessments with ADIME and updating care plans using PES, inputting resident information and diet changes, weekly menu review, coordinating with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) for referrals, attending team conferences, producing quality-of-life notes, identifying residents at risk for malnutrition, participating in morning reports, providing diet education to residents and families, and conducting meal round audits with QA activities. Required experience includes an Associate’s degree in nutrition or dietetics and experience working with an RD; preferred is a Bachelor’s degree and experience in a senior living facility.
