Job Summary
Diet Technician 1 responsible for accurately calculating and preparing milk and formula mixtures using aseptic technique; participates in weekend and holiday rotation; performs other duties as assigned. Requires knowledge of human milk and formula handling, strong basic math, ability to read and write English, operate basic office equipment (calculator, computer, typewriter), and effective communication with team. Preferred education includes an Associates Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field and/or enrollment in nutrition program with relevant coursework; one year of experience is preferred. Spanish language ability is desirable.
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Food/Nutrition Science or related field preferred
- Currently or previously enrolled in a nutrition program with completion of core medical nutrition therapy food science classes
- Minimum of one year experience preferred
- Knowledge of human milk and formula handling
- Spanish language ability desirable
