Job Summary
Oversees the patient tray delivery system and monitors physicians’ diet orders with items prepared; serves as the department’s information liaison between patients and dietitians, records patient meal preferences, and instructs production on item quantities. Acts as the department’s quality assurance for food monitoring, adheres to hospital and regulatory policies (JCAHO), and participates as an active team member delivering service in a hospital food service setting. Strong emphasis on customer relations within a healthcare nutrition context and collaboration with dietitians to support patient dietary needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year food service experience or customer service
- One to three year's experience working in a healthcare food service environment is preferred
- One to two years college level courses in nutrition can be substituted for healthcare food service experience
