Job Summary

Diagnose vehicle issues by performing inspections, tests, and identifying worn or damaged parts. Perform maintenance and repairs including preventive service, part replacements, system overhauls, adjustments, alignments, and upgrades across all major vehicle systems. Ensure compliance and performance through test drives, system checks, and adherence to federal and state safety, engine, and emissions standards. Maintain documentation and equipment by recording repairs, managing inventory, troubleshooting shop equipment, and coordinating necessary repairs. Support department goals by controlling costs, staying current through training and technical publications, and proactively adding value to operations. Requires valid driver's license, proficiency in diesel and gasoline engines, electrical systems, brake systems, and CMMS usage. Own tools required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
  • Understanding of gasoline engines
  • Proficiency in electrical systems
  • Proficiency in brake systems
  • Proficiency in suspension/steering systems
  • Proficiency in Transmission/drivetrain repair
  • Proficiency in Cooling systems
  • Proficiency in HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS- Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Proficiency in all fleet maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors, customers, and other technicians
  • Ability to write repair and service orders
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds while standing, bending and working in tight spaces
  • Must possess own tools
