Job Summary
Diesel Technician responsibilities include performing repairs on diesel trucks per repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, diagnosing malfunctions, communicating with parts department and service advisor, and documenting work on the repair order. The role involves staying current with manufacturer technical bulletins, participating in manufacturer-sponsored training, supervising any apprentice technicians, road testing vehicles when required, maintaining a neat and safe shop, and ensuring dealership tools and manuals are properly accounted for. The position requires basic mechanical aptitude, 1-2 years of experience, a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL, and a preferred high school diploma or vocational/technical schooling. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or vocational/ technical school preferred
- Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain CDL license

- Must have base required tools or obtain within 30 days
- Background screening is a mandatory prerequisite for employment consideration
- Ability to communicate with parts department and service advisor
- Knowledge of OSHA Right-to-Know and hazardous waste disposal
