Job Summary
Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain Class 8 trucks as a Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic. Utilize diagnostic equipment to detect faults, perform preventative maintenance, and write detailed repair orders. Must have effective communication skills and the ability to obtain a CDL. Experience with diesel mechanics is essential, along with personal tools and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years of diesel mechanic experience
- Personal tool inventory
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to obtain a Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- Ability to read and interpret shop repair order forms and technical bulletins
- Ability to work in an environment with weather exposure
- Ability to work 8-10 hour days including overtime
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
