Job Summary
Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic responsible for corrective and preventative maintenance on medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Uses diagnostic equipment to detect faults across electrical, drive train, HVAC, brake, engine, and suspension systems; documents causes and repair procedures on repair orders; performs repairs and road tests to verify fixes; communicates with the Shop Foreman and parts personnel; coordinates with customers professionally and maintains safety standards; must possess formal technical training or credentialing and a valid CDL, with highly organized, detail-oriented service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Formal technical training degree, certificate or diploma or equivalent work experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret shop repair order forms, repair manuals, electrical schematics and various other technical bulletins
- Ability to use computer keyboard and Windows basics
