Job Summary
Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic responsible for performing corrective and preventative maintenance on medium and heavy duty vehicles, troubleshooting various systems, and using diagnostic equipment to isolate faults. Must communicate effectively for repair orders and interact professionally with customers. A High School Diploma is required along with the ability to obtain a CDL and effective technical skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Formal technical degree, certificate or equivalent work experience preferred
- Personal tool inventory preferred
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to obtain a Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- Ability to read and interpret shop repair order forms, repair manuals, electrical schematics, and technical bulletins
- Ability to use computer keyboard and Windows basics
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to work 8 - 10 hour days, including overtime hours as needed
- Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, walk, and sit regularly; lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally
