Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic needed to inspect, maintain, and repair a fleet of trucks with emphasis on diesel engine repair, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. Responsibilities include routine maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks), diagnosing and troubleshooting engine and hydraulic system issues across garbage trucks, tractor trailers, roll-offs, and Hooklift trucks, and repairing components such as brakes, transmissions, and cooling systems. Must conduct thorough vehicle inspections, maintain repair and parts records, follow safety protocols, collaborate with team members, and stay current with diesel-tech advancements.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
- Certification or degree in diesel mechanics or a related field is preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
