Job Summary
Instruct grades 9-12 in diesel technology, delivering daily lessons in designated locations while maintaining an environment conducive to effective learning. Prepare for assigned classes, demonstrate professional growth by attending faculty meetings, and collaborate with staff to plan instructional goals and methods. Evaluate student progress continuously, maintain accurate records, and enforce school rules and administrative regulations. Assist students in setting behavioral standards, communicate with parents regarding educational progress, and participate in the evaluation process. Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Chapter 74 Certification in Diesel Technology (9-14)
- Experience in Diesel technology
- Preliminary or Professional Vocational Tech License
- Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other staff and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact
- Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment such as, but not limited to, a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine
- Some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions
