Job Summary
Diagnose and repair faults across heavy commercial vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Carry out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and inspections to identify additional repair opportunities. Utilise diagnostic tools and manufacturer systems effectively while completing job documentation accurately. Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety protocols within the Wiri workshop environment. This role offers ongoing technical development with access to advanced truck technology and industry-leading products.
Required Qualifications
- A recognised Heavy Automotive or Diesel Trade qualification
- Experience working on heavy trucks, buses, transport equipment, or similar machinery
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with modern vehicle electronics and diagnostic software
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- A current New Zealand driver's licence
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- A Class 2, 4, or 5 licence
Desired Qualifications
- A Class 2, 4, or 5 licence would be advantageous but is not essential
