Job Summary
Perform vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to diagnose malfunctions and execute necessary repairs on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. Examine assigned vehicles for additional safety or service needs, verify serviceability through test drives, and ensure customer vehicles remain clean during the repair process. Manage inventory by ordering and verifying parts, maintain a clean work area, and document all work performed on repair orders per standard operating procedures. Communicate with service advisors or dispatchers for additional work requirements and assist service writers in guaranteeing customer satisfaction. Adhere to attendance standards, business ethics, and supervisor directions while attending pertinent training and company meetings as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent GED
- Must possess Provincial License such as Red Seal/310T
- Current and in good standing with membership/registration with respective Government Agencies
Desired Qualifications
- Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials)
- OEM training courses
