Job Summary
Perform diagnosis and preventative maintenance on the fleet of tractors and trailers, including brakes, oil/filter changes, wheel seals, HVAC, electrical, and fuel systems. Troubleshoot major problems and assist in general truck and trailer maintenance. Advise the Leadman/Shop Foreman if additional repair work is needed. Maintain a neat working area, handle company tools properly, and complete required paperwork to document vehicle work. Attend training sessions and meetings while following safety practices and shop regulations. Work Tuesday through Saturday from 7am to 3:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of heavy truck or diesel maintenance experience
- degree from technical school
- Near & midrange vision
- Hearing Ability
- Ability to work alone and under stress

- Lifting 50 lbs floor to waist
- Lifting 50 lbs floor to shoulder

- Using hands, wrists, elbows and shoulder for repetitive motion tasks
- Ability to work in seasonal heat and cold
- amidst noise, dust, and fumes
- Must be able to climb a ladder up to heights of 13 feet
Desired Qualifications
- CDL preferred – ability to move a semi in and out of shop
