Job Summary
Diesel Technician/Mechanic needed at Covington/Columbus, OH area shop to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty truck systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing air systems, HVAC, steering components, performing bolt-on component work (manifolds, turbos, water pumps, fan drives, air compressors), conducting Federal DOT inspections and alignments, electrical troubleshooting (starting and charging issues, alternators, batteries, starters), and servicing brakes, wheel-end assemblies, drivelines, suspensions, and tires. Offers ongoing skill development, potential advancement to lead technician or shop foreman, and cross-location exposure. Requires at least 2 years of hands-on heavy-duty truck experience, HS diploma (or equivalent); CDL a plus. First shift with benefits including paid vacation, holiday pay, and IRA match.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- 2+ years of hands-on work on heavy-duty trucks
- Valid driver's license
- CDL is a plus
- Proactive problem-solver and good communication
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
