Job Summary
Assist with diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and trucks while performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Learn to work with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems by reading service manuals, using diagnostic tools, and accurately documenting service work. Collaborate closely with experienced technicians, shop foremen, and field teams while following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. This entry-level role offers training, mentorship, and exposure to a wide variety of equipment to develop technical skills for career growth within a stable, family-owned construction firm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift equipment and work in a shop/outdoor environment
- Basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow instructions
- Willingness to learn and grow technical skills on the job
- Must be able to pass background check
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing
