Job Summary
Diesel Technicians work in a fast-paced environment maintaining clean facilities and interacting with customers & drivers to improve their travel experience. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues (wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, engine components), assisting with roadside services, and providing preventative maintenance. The role requires the ability to move and lift 75+ pounds, work in varying temperatures, and rotate between day and night schedules. The position supports obtaining a DOT medical card (paid by Love’s) and is located at Love’s Travel Stops in Utica, MS. Love’s is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages veterans to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds
- Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (DOT) (paid by Love’s)
- Rotating schedule between day and night as needed
- Customer interaction with drivers and travelers
- Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues (wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, engine components)
- Provide preventative maintenance services
