Job Summary
Diesel Technician Level 3 handles diagnosing, repairing and maintaining class 8 tractor-trailer equipment, including diesel engines, powertrain (differentials, transmissions, clutches), electricals, brakes, cooling, HVAC, DEF/aftertreatment, and engine electronics; performs Preventive Maintenance (PM) services, tire repairs, and reconditioning for trade-ins/new equipment, with welding capabilities (MIG/TIG) and proficiency in diagnostic software; adheres to DOT standards and safety practices, documents work, and mentors other technicians as needed; must have a valid driver’s license, own tools, and willingness to travel for training; English communication required.
